What Spotify checks
Spotify ties the price to the account’s country, then requires a payment method that belongs to that country. Load the Turkish page from anywhere you like. At checkout it wants a Turkish card. That is the whole gate, and it got tighter: in September 2025 Spotify rewrote its terms so accounts must match your country of residence, and its own guidance for moving countries says you need “a payment method issued in your new country.”
VPN-only signups have been blocked in waves for years. If a tutorial from 2022 says “turn on Istanbul and pay with Visa,” treat it as expired. The card country is what survived.

One warning before the how-to: Spotify’s community threads show repeated failed attempts with a local card can temporarily lock payment attempts entirely. If a charge fails twice, wait a couple of hours rather than hammering retry.
The Ininal path, step by step
Ininal is a Turkish e-money provider that issues real Visa and TROY cards. It replaced Ozan as the default answer after Turkey’s central bank suspended Ozan’s license on 31 October 2025 — a fact half the ranking pages still have not caught up with.
- Register with a passport and a Turkish address. Ininal accepts foreigners on these two things; you do not need a residence permit for the basic tier. Verification happens in the app.
- Create a virtual card. Pick Visa over TROY — TROY is Turkey’s domestic network and works for Turkish subscriptions, but Visa gives you a fallback elsewhere.
- Complete identity verification before you depend on it. Ininal can freeze accounts that stall on KYC, and any balance inside is then Ininal’s problem, not Spotify’s.
- Add the card to a Turkey-billed Spotify account. Confirm the currency on the payment screen is TRY before you confirm. If it offers EUR or USD, you are not on the Turkish list.
- Fund small first. One month of intended spend until checkout completes and renews. Money loaded onto a prepaid card is not simple to move back out.

Funding the card from abroad
The boring-but-correct funding route is Revolut: convert into Turkish lira on a weekday and top up Ininal from there. Two reasons for the weekday rule:
- Revolut applies a weekend markup on currency exchange (about 1%, tier-dependent) between Friday evening and Sunday night. Converting Monday to Friday avoids it.
- Lira is volatile enough that timing your conversion matters more than the transfer fee.
Other routes people use — crypto P2P, remittance apps — work but add 3%+ in fees and more fraud surface than the lira amount justifies when one month costs about $2.

The reason nobody publishes a working Turkish Spotify price with a verified date is that verifying it requires a Turkish card and a Turkish account. Screenshots of a landing page prove the page, not the bill.
What this does not buy you
It does not buy you a permanent discount. Under the September 2025 terms, an account that stops matching your actual residence is exposed: failed renewals can revert your country, and Spotify states the residency requirement plainly rather than hiding it. A Spotify Turkey card does not pay those. ChatGPT Plus in Turkey still wants an OpenAI-eligible local card, and Apple credit does not pay Plus.

Failures that look like “Turkey did not work”
Region bounced back. If the card fails on renewal, Spotify can move you off Turkey. That is a payment mismatch, not a deleted library. Playlists are usually still there. Billing is not.
KYC closed the prepaid card. Ininal freezes accounts that do not complete identity checks. Fund small until verification is clearly done, then keep the card active so it does not lapse mid-cycle.
You followed a guide to Ozan. The license suspension means signups and balances are stuck in trustee limbo. There is no fix from your side; start again with Ininal.
You paid, still seeing ads. Confirm the account email. Shared logins from key shops are someone else’s Premium. Cheap accounts.
