Netflix is cheaper than Disney Plus in USD on the cheapest verified rows: Netflix Standard in Pakistan is Rs 800 / $2.89, while Disney Plus Premium bottoms out in Turkey at ₺449.90 / $9.39. Both figures were checked August 29, 2026.
In the United States the flagship stickers are close: Disney Premium $18.99, Netflix Standard $19.99. That is the comparison most US roundups run, and it is a catalog fight, not a price fight. What they skip is the rest of the world, where Netflix still runs a deep cheap-country ladder and Disney’s dated Premium map is shorter and higher.
We are also not mixing tiers. Disney Basic is $11.99 in the US on our table — cheaper, and a different plan. Netflix Premium (4K) is $26.99. Charts that put Disney Basic against Netflix Premium are advertising, not a comparison.

Are these the same product?
No. Disney is the house style: animation, Marvel, Star Wars, a lot of what kids will rewatch. Netflix is the generalist: more originals, more languages, more “what do we watch tonight that is not a franchise.” Households that need both usually rotate rather than stack — one month Disney, one month Netflix — because the catalogs overlap less than the marketing implies and the combined US bill is ~$39.

Where each one is genuinely cheap
Netflix: Pakistan, Egypt, Nigeria, India. That ladder is why Netflix still shows up in every “cheap streaming country” thread.
Disney: Turkey $9.39, Japan $10.50, Canada $12.25. Real discounts versus $18.99. Not Pakistan-cheap. The UK is above the US on Disney Premium once you convert.
If a VPN blog still says “Netflix Turkey $2,” that number is dead. Our Turkey Standard row is $6.05 after 2026 repricing. Disney Turkey at $9.39 is the cheaper Disney number, not the cheaper streaming number.
How do you actually pay for each one?

Disney Plus: web, app stores, and — in the US — bundles with Hulu/ESPN that we do not fold into the Premium country rank. Annual billing exists on some Disney screens. Our table is monthly Premium.
What a VPN can and cannot do here
Netflix will notice. Household checks and proxy detection are why “just VPN to Pakistan” died as advice. Disney is not a free-for-all either. Price follows billing country. Skip the theater kid energy and read your own row.
