Nigeria is first. Full Discord Nitro costs ₦3,900, about $2.88 a month, against $9.99 in the United States — a 71% cut, verified Aug 29, 2026. Egypt ($3.17) and Vietnam ($4.20) round out the top three. Every number below comes from a dated App Store check; the live version of this table sits on Discord prices by country.

Which country is cheapest for Discord?

Ranked by lowest verified USD price for full Nitro. Local currency is the source figure; USD uses the FX rate on our methodology page.

Country Local USD vs US
Nigeria ₦3,900 $2.88 -71%
Egypt EGP 159.99 $3.17 -68%
Vietnam ₫109,000 $4.20 -58%
Philippines ₱269 $4.35 -56%
Indonesia Rp85,000 $4.77 -52%
Brazil R$24.90 $4.78 -52%
Pakistan Rs 1,600 $5.78 -42%
Japan ¥1,050 $6.60 -34%
Thailand ฿219 $6.62 -34%
South Korea ₩9,500 $6.83 -32%
United States $9.99 $9.99

We track 40 countries in total. At the expensive end, Western Europe pays roughly $11.59 (€9.99), Poland $12.88, and the UK $12.19 — more than four times the Nigerian price for the same subscription.

What about Nitro Basic?

We have no verified Nitro Basic prices to rank yet, so we refuse to invent a table. That honesty matters here because most competitors quietly list full-Nitro numbers under a “Nitro pricing” headline and let readers assume Basic is covered too. If you only want Basic features, check your own app’s upgrade screen — but do not trust an article that claims country-by-country Basic prices without dates.

Why is there no cheap Turkey anymore?

Turkey used to be the classic answer. Discord repriced its lira subscriptions in February 2024, killing the bargain tier overnight. Then, in October 2024, Turkey blocked Discord outright, so even the new local price is unreachable there. Any 2025-or-older article still steering you to Turkish Nitro is stale on both counts.

The gifting loophole that isn’t

Discord lets you gift Nitro to anyone, which sounds like a way around regional pricing. It is not: gifts bill in USD-equivalent no matter where the recipient lives. A gifted month costs the same whether your friend is in Lagos or Los Angeles. Gifting is fine as a present; as arbitrage it does nothing.

Can I use a VPN to get cheaper Discord?

A VPN changes your IP, not your payment country. The App Store follows your Apple ID’s region and billing method, so a Nigerian IP alone buys you nothing. You would need an Apple ID registered in the cheap country plus a payment method that store accepts — Apple gift card credit works for that on every row we have checked. See how to pay for the mechanics.

How do I actually pay?

Our verified path is the App Store in-app purchase, billed to an Apple ID set to the target country:

Method Verified status
Local card Works
Apple gift card credit Works
Apple Pay Works
Google Play gift card Does not work on our rows
PayPal Not verified either way
VPN alone Not enough

If you are weighing Nitro against alternatives, our Telegram vs Discord comparison covers why Telegram Premium has an official discount channel Discord cannot match.

Bottom line

Nigeria at $2.88 is the real floor, with Egypt and Vietnam close behind — but capturing it means running a foreign Apple ID with gift-card credit, and accepting that Discord can reprice (see Turkey, February 2024) or be blocked entirely (see Turkey again, October 2024). For most readers the practical takeaway is smaller: if you already live in one of the cheap countries, never pay the USD tier.
