Two things worth noticing beyond the top of the table:
- Argentina, Ghana, and Kenya are not bargains anymore. They all sit at or slightly above the US $16.99 — Argentina bills in USD directly, and Kenya’s row is $17.49. If you read an older article recommending them, that advice has expired.
- Hungary is the most expensive verified country at $28.93 (HUF 9,090), 70% above the US. Western Europe is not far behind: Germany and France $22.04, UK $22.35.
Wait — isn’t Turkey supposed to be the cheap one?
That reputation is out of date. Turkey spent years as the default “buy it there” answer for subscription software, then Apple and developers repriced the Turkish storefront repeatedly. For Zoom Pro, Turkey is now ₺779 ≈ $16.25 — a whole 74 cents below the US price. Nobody should be moving accounts for that. Yet plenty of comparison sites still list Turkey as a top pick for Zoom, because their tables were built when the gap was real.
Can a VPN get you the cheaper Zoom price?
No — and it is worth understanding why, because Zoom is stricter than most apps here.
A VPN changes where your traffic appears to come from. It does not change two things that actually decide the price:
- Your Apple ID’s country setting. The App Store charges based on the account’s storefront, which you set when you create or migrate the account — not based on your IP at purchase time.
- A payment method issued in that country. A Nigerian storefront expects a Nigerian card or Nigerian Apple gift-card credit.
