One popular ranking still crowns Turkey at under a dollar, which was true before Turkey’s steep 2026 re-pricing wave and is simply wrong now. Another mixes up the cheaper basic Go plan with Go+. Which country is cheapest for SoundCloud?

Three things worth noticing:
- The gap is enormous at the bottom. Nigeria, Brazil, Egypt, and Pakistan all pay less than $5 for what costs $14.99 in the US.
- Europe is a trap. Germany, France, Spain, and Italy all charge €14.99 — about $17.40, more than the US. The identical-looking number is a worse deal.
- The UK is the worst verified value at £14.99 ≈ $20.32, a 35% premium over the American price for the same app.
Will a VPN get me the Nigerian price?
Not by itself, and this is where most guides oversell. A VPN changes where your traffic appears to come from. It does not change your App Store account country or give you a Nigerian payment method. SoundCloud’s in-app price follows the storefront of your Apple ID, which is set by the account’s country setting and the billing method attached to it.
So the honest sequence is: change your Apple ID region (which has its own requirements — a local address, agreeing to new terms, and usually spending any existing store credit first), then fund that account with a gift card or local-capable card. A VPN might help you reach the storefront smoothly, but the storefront switch is the actual gate. Anyone selling “just turn on the VPN” is skipping the hard part.

Will my account get banned?
Probably not, but nobody can promise it. Region-hopping to buy cheaper subscriptions sits in a gray zone of SoundCloud’s terms. The realistic worst case is losing the account — including anything tied to it. So: never move an account whose loss would actually hurt you, keep receipts for your store credit, and confirm the currency on the final billing screen before you tap subscribe.
